Removed system from the dashboard - attempts to add back not working

Initially setup my new TrueNAS (TheShire) to Connect, it mostly worked but did not seem to show and allow all the various options to work. I left it alone. Recently rebuilt my old TrueNAS (Mordor) as a backup replication target, added it to Connect and everything is working.

I decided to remove my Primary TrueNAS from Connect and try again. It is removed, however the primary TrueNAS still thinks it is connect. Can not seem to find a reset, can not disable the service either.

When I open the Connect UI I unlock my keyring and the only system I see is Mordor.

Any help is appreciated.

Follow up, after some time, I was able to add this TrueNAS to Connect, however it does not seem to be completely available to the web console.

i see the same message.

i have my main system at home and my second system off-site. both systems have tailscale container running.

i can reach both systems directly on their respective hostnames but for me connect says it can’t reach the off-site system.

Same I use tailscale on both, however at this moment they are at home in the same subnet. Eventually the backup machine, Mordor, will end up at my in-laws.

Has this problem persisted?

Can you verify TailScale connectivity?

It is persistent. Both have TailScale installed and running, no exit node, no subnet router just a node on my TailNet.

If Tailscale is working for direct connection to your NAS… it should work.

Can you report a bug… we want to solve these issues.

I have a bug report open. Thank you.

Can you report the ticket number… I can track then.

Hopefully this is the correct number: TNCS-50

BTW - I did see on the most recent TechTalk where the free version of TrueNAS Connect now supports 2 hosts. I am sure when I first set mine up that may not have been the case, not sure if that iimportant.

Thanks… no the changes to Connect should not matter at all.
