Rsync error says to read log - how do I do that?

I am running TrueNAS SCALE Fangtooth 25.04 [release]. Finally got rsync running to push a backup to my QNAP, and after a small test that worked, a more complete backup failed. The Jobs listing says “[EFAULT] rsync command returned 23 - PARTIAL. Check logs for further information.”
I have been unable to find out how to view logs at all, much less where they are and which one I should view. I have not configured Syslog - is that required?
I just want to see why the rsync failed! Can’t find any posts about reading logs here, or in the documentation, and would appreciate some help.

I faced the same issue today. I added logging to rsync, and found out that in my case the issue was caused by permission issues. To add logging to rsync add following configuration to the job:

Depending on your setup/rsync user you may need to set different path.
