I’ve a small 2 Bay NAS (Ugreen DXP2800) not mirrored with a 8TB Drive and a 16TB Drive. I only want to sync certain Folder from the 16TB Drive to the 8TB Drive. Using CLI it works fine but id like to use the GUI Option DataProtection, however it seems it only offeres to replicate to a Remote Destionation. Am i missing something?
@MRi is referring to Rsync Tasks, not Replication Tasks.
He did mention the word “replicate” in his post (which is what I read) - but you are correct

If you are trying to backup data from one drive to another drive. I would suggest that replication is a potentially better solution.
So will replication do the same for me. Its talking about snapshot. i dont know what a snapshot is ( like a point in time of my dataset !? What space does a snapshot consumes ) . So basically i want to have replica of my immich foto gallery. Also when i am deleting files on the source, it should delete them on the target. is that possible? Do i need to configure snapshot before hand or does it do it by its own?

i assume replication is only for snapshots not for single/files folders? or can i achieve the same goal as with rsync?
Replication is for snapshots only. A Snapshot consumes almost no space BUT freezes the data so that changes to an existing file (block really) will add used space as the data cannot actually be deleted until any snapshot referencing the data is deleted.
The effect is that the files on the target will be Read Only but that any changes will be carried across from source to target

That would make for a good feature request.
The GUI for Rsync Tasks should allow a local target.
