Scheduling SMART tests: No Minutes Option

Using SCALE-24.10.0.2 (ElectricEel), I noticed that when scheduling a SMART test there is no ability to type in the minutes (only hours), despite the documentation showing otherwise.

I logged this as a bug, which has now been closed with the comment:

The minutes field is intentionally hidden from the scheduler for SMART tests, so this is functioning as intended. We will update the documentation to reflect this.

As closed, I cannot ask why this is hidden, would anyone know for what purpose this is hidden?

Correct. The system uses smartd to schedule the tests, and that doesn’t support minutes for scheduling.
