SMB share: Multi-user Time machine gone in 25.10-RC.1 - Goldeye?

Has the “Multi user Time Machine” option gone in Goldeye?

I hope not!

No. It’s consolidated into the time machine preset (which now has configurable options).

I’m not seeing the configuration options I’d need in the default “Time Machine Share” to make it work like the old “Multi user Time Machine”. What am I missing?

If I expand out the Advanced Options I see a checkbox for “Auto Dataset Creation” which I think might be the option I need but when I turn that I the Save button greys out.

I’m confused and can’t figure out how to get this to work in the new “Time Machine Share” preset.

%U did it, thank you! I had been trying %u based on what the tooltip says:

Help: Dataset Naming Schema
The naming schema to use when Auto Dataset Creation is specified. If you do not set a schema, the server uses %u (username) if it is not joined to Active Directory. If the server is joined to Active Directory it uses %D/%u (domain/username).

Yes, capitalization is needed here; the documentation here is indeed poorly worded.

Please submit a bug report for the misleading tooltip
