Strange WebGUI Issue

Hi all,

I’ve got a weird issue in my setup. I recently changed the subnet that my TrueNAS CE (25.04.1) NAS is on. After this successful change, I can log into the WebGUI on MacOS and my iPhone, as well as access SMB shares. However, on Windows and Linux, I cannot access the WebGUI nor my SMB shares.

I am using a network bridge as my interface. Where should I look first to troubleshoot this issue?

Clear your web broswer cache?

Are the windows devices on the same subnet as Mac devices? Is it all on the same subnet as the NAS is on now? If not, can they even reach the NAS with a ping command? Have you configured your routing correctly for them to do so?

If it was just the GUI, I might agree with Barky - but I’m having doubts that you’re accessing the SMB share over the broswer; though I guess you might be.

More info/details needed of network setup please.

Ultimately, I figured out I needed to a config reset. Thankfully since TrueNAS can pick you storage pool and apps right back up, the reset process was easy. The WebGUI is now working as expected.

Generally a config reset shouldn’t be considered a solution to a configuration problem. It’s better to narrow down a solution that doesn’t potentially break other parts of the system configuration.

Fair enough. Although, for just a homelab, I don’t mind doing a reset.

Right. I’m just providing notice because other people sometimes look at things marked as solutions and try to apply them without considering the potential consequences.
