Terramaster F8 SSD

Hello,

I just got my Terramaster F8 SSD, and much to my chagrin it will not work with TrueNAS ( or any other linux that I’ve tried ) when nvme slots 1 and 2 ( indexed from 1 ) are occupied. Keep getting Bus Error as soon as I try to do anything with the drives. It happens with just 1 of those two ports occupied.
Works great in FreeBSD, and seems to work on Terramasters own linux, which is a 6.1.X I believe.

I guess I’m going with v13 for now.

Try searching your model if this doesn’t help

Thanks for replying.

The installation went just fine. It runs great with 6 SSDs in slots 3-8. It crashes and reboots with SSDs in slot 1 and 2. But as I said, it seems to happen on Linux kernels 6.12 and 6.17 ( proxmox ), so it is not a TrueNAS issue per se.

I get a Bus Error most of the times on TrueNAS and on Proxmox it says something about “not all processors joined $something”.
