I have the message “Can not retrieve response”. Do you have the same thing ? Is there a solution available ?

I’d suggest that before a bug report there should be a thread started on General category. Systems hardware, history, recent changes…

Does reboot or rollback work?

OP should look at the /var/log/middlewared.log after triggering to capture the exception which is probably preventing the user response query from being returned.

My bet is its the same bug that affected the VM query, but in the Users query.

Ie using pydantic on the query, instead of the update.

Just a guess.

But a debug would probably capture it.

I have the same issue on 25.04.2. I can’t rollback to 24.10 because I upgraded my pools

There are some updates for 25.04.2.1

1. Adoption has been rapid and the quality is looking very good.

2. It’s now recommended for general use in the software status page, regardless of the use of Virtualization.

3. The two most popular versions of TrueNAS are now both Fangtooth:

25.04.1 (probably users without virtualization needs)
25.04.2.1 (users with virtualization needs)

So, i was right about it being the same bug as the VM bug. Ie, putting pydantic validation on the query, not the update. I’d report a bug. TrueNAS should not break like this because they update the database validation scheme in an update.
