Truenas gets stuck on boot: VFIO error

Hi, new truenas user here

We had some brown-outs today, and since I don’t have a UPS for my NAS yet, it shut off and I had to restart it.

When booting, I get this error:

[ 1.237454] vfio: module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing - tainting kernel

I’m unable to get past this point. Can’t access the web UI, it just gets stuck here. Can’t ping it, anything really. All of my hardware seems to be fine, so I doubt that’s the issue. I’ve left it on for about an hour now, periodically attempting to access the web UI in case for some reason it’s still doing stuff behind the scenes, no luck.

The few forum posts about this have been fairly unhelpful, and I would prefer to not have to re-install truenas and configure it again, I don’t have a backup of my configuration, before this incident, I didn’t know that was an option. Oh well, lesson learned I guess.

Update:
Took GPU out, it booted up just fine, put gpu back in, seems to still be working.
I think what happened is that I was using the GPU HDMI output to connect to the monitor and that was giving that error, and the reason I couldn’t access it is because the IP changed. Got a static IP set up so hopefully this won’t be an issue in the future. Cheers folks, hope this helps someone else that has this issue.
