Vfio: module verification failed - TrueNAS Scale 24.10.1

I was originally using the integrated graphics of my AMD CPU and recently installed an old Nvidia card I had lying around, forcing my BIOS to use integrated graphics so that I could passthrough the Nvidia card to a VM. Then, I started getting this error:

vfio: module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing - tainting kernel

TrueNas still runs fine with WebUI but I’ve lost direct access to the shell since the boot sequence on my screen stops after this error shows up.

I’ve already tried reverting the BIOS setting and removing the Nvidia card but the error still occurs. Upgrading to 24.10.2 also didn’t work and even raised more issues with my network interface.

I’ve seen multiple topics around the same issue but most didn’t provide a solution. One mentioned removing the card but that didn’t work for me.

Has anyone else been able to surpass this and, could you please share how?

Hi, As far as I can tell that’s because you are connected to the pass-trough GPU, You can access shell by plugging the monitor to the onboard graphics. Now there might be other explanations for this error, however i am really not tech savy, this solution was discovered by trial and error
