TrueNAS Installation issue and some second thoughts

Sadly, the drive is not seen at all in TrueNAS - only the one 3TB disk is visible, so I think I may have to breathe and check, breathe and check, breath and… Eventually hit enter…

I could pull it from the system and use Macrium to blat it with, but I am sure Un*x can blat it well enough. I thought makefs would do it, but I could not persuade it to work.

I will breathe… tomorrow…

Yank that drive and use a partition manager to nuke it, leave it with a single big fat32 partition or something, you’ll be wiping it anyway.

And yes, system services, samba, after you create a share from a pool. It will require at least one non-root user, IIRC it’ll walk you through creating one or at least say what’s missing. I set mine as guest so I allow anonymous/noname no password readonly access to my shares, for testing.
