Hello, i am trying to lock down my truenas scale 25.10.1 - Goldeye local console UI, were trying to secure the server from physical attacks, and a physical lock and removing the screen, keyboard, mouse, or kvm isnt enough, are there alternatives to this
Do you need more than System → Advanced Settings → Console → Uncheck Show Text Console without Password Prompt ?
Surely there are, but what is the threat you’re trying to prevent, and why are the measures you cite not enough? “Physical attacks” is pretty broad, and it’s obvious that those measures wouldn’t protect the server against a bomb, which would be a form of physical attack.
i found this right after i asked but this was the fix thank you
it was from someone sitting physically at the console and getting into shell and breaking the server
