Neither enabling use sudo for zfs commands make any change?

Now I’ve got another problem - well, it’s not another problem but it’s one I posted a few days ago but not a single response. That was just in testing; now I’m actually trying to use the thing but it’s making it hard to tell what’s going on.

Im getting more and more frustrated at my choice to change over to scale, now i find i cant even replicate my apps because ix-apps is hidden and no way to change it that i can see. Who makes these changes? Are they a sandwich short of a picnic? iocage was replicable.

Someone please say i can create a manual path to basepool/ix-apps in the UI?

Are you using ixVolume’s for your apps?
If that is the case you should reconsider, the official Docs specifically point out that ixVolume aren’t suitable for any important data.

Your communicated intent to replicate the data suggests it’s important to you.
If that is indeed the case you should instead use Host Path storage, just as the Docs recommend. Host Paths can be easily accessed and replicated, just like any other dataset.

Then why did it put it there by default?

I really don’t much feel like starting the last few days of building this second server again :slightly_frowning_face:

I have just testes just typing basepool/ix-apps into the replication scheduler and it seems to have worked, i didn’t go with recursive just yet.

does this part mean i can change the dataset even though i have many apps already setup and running?

Unsetting the Apps Pool

To select a different pool for apps to use, click Configuration > Unset Pool. This turns off the apps service
until you choose another pool for apps to use.

If i shut them all down first?

:frowning_face: Na, i will loose every app i so painstaking been banging my head against the wall with. I dont think i can migrate the data to the new dataset either. so no.

So its another 4 days of pure frustration or i just go on and dont have any backups of the apps & their data at all. Great.

You would have saved so much time and stress just reading the documentation at the start, or at the very least when you started running into issues.

Either way, I see you finally managed to get some headway in your other post on the same issue. That’s good.

Anyhow, I have GPT now. I just shout, insult, and throw screenshots at it for literally days on end.

Just finnished getting nextcloud re-installed but with external database, setting, user, etc, Much pain with the permissions.

Ya know one day i will sit down and actually learn what and how to use ACL’s just as you suggest :wink: :
