Unable to delete files from various folders

So I am not an expert here in the use of TrueNAS. I have a IX system mini which I have had in service about 2 years.

About a month ago I copied about 5 meg of data from a failing USB drive for temporary storage. Recently I copied those files back to a newer drive.

When I went to delete these files off of my server I found I have a few (maybe 30ish) files from about 1 million that were on the USB drive that I can not delete from TrueNAS getting a “Permission Denied” error. If I look at file properties on my Linux box It indicates that file permissions “Could not be determined”. On Windows it says my user doesn’t have permission to edit/delete.

The files can be opened and viewed normally (at least the pdf and documents). I can not copy or move these files.

I am not sure how to fix this issue to allow me to delete these files. Assistance is appreciated.

Thanks!

I am on TrueNAS-13.0-U6.2

Can you not use the shell in TrueNAS?
Preferably via SSH and the GUI shell has issues

Thanks for the recommendation. I have never used the Shell just the GUI. I am fairly new to TrueNAS so still have a lot to learn. I will search for some info on how to do that. Thanks!
