UNIFI App will not start when storage is moved

I am setting up TNAS and trying to install the UNIFI controller. When I move the storage to a different pool, it will not start. I was able to leave it in the default location and it works, just not when I move the “Data Storage” somewhere else.

Edit, it’s not creating any of the files\folders in the directory I am trying to put it on, so I am thinking permission. However, I am new to TNAS and so far, not able to figure it out.

The app says what user it’s supposed to use, so I gave that user permissions to the (unfortunately) modify permissions to the entire dataset the storage is pointed to, and now it works. I am assuming that is not a good thing.
