Upgrade from 24.10.2.4 to 25.04 - Should i?

Using 24.10 now and works fine, always immediately upgraded as new versions get released in the past.
I use a few apps (from the store but 2 are community), ftp service and many SMB/NFS shares.
Any reason to avoid upgrade or things i need to consider?

Nope nothing to consider. Your apps should continue to work just fine.
If you don’t use vms there shouldn’t be problems…

thank you

I gave it a try & bad things happened, had some issues with my boot pool & just stopped. i just used Grub boot menu to drop back to old version. I think i’ll stay there haha

You will likely want to move forward eventually.
Next time, document what fails so there is a way to seek further assistance.

After the update, I’m experiencing significant degradation in backup performance for my virtual machines using TrueNAS. When running version 24.10.2.4, backing up a 450 GB VM took 35-40 minutes. However, after upgrading to version 25.04, backup time for the same VM increased to 50-55 minutes. The backup target is a dataset mounted via the SMB protocol. Downgrading back to version 24 restored the backup time to the original 35-40 minutes.
