i am still on 22.12.4.2. I want to upgrade.
do i need to go from 22.12.4.2 → 24.04.2.5 and THEN to 25.04 or can I go directly from 22 to 25?
in any case: will my 4 docker apps need to be re-installed?

If you want to upgrade from the gui you should not skip versions but rather upgrade to the last available release of the next version so you should go from 22.12 to 23.10 (i believe) to 24.04 to 24.10 to 25.04. The other option would be to install 25.04 or 25.10 and import your config file.

and if so, will my apps still be there or do i need to reinstall them?
Until 24.04 your apps will keep working since that is the last version that used the kubernetes based apps backend. With 24.10 truenas switched to native docker and you’ll have to reinstall your apps.
