VM Shutdown Timeout larger than 300 seconds

Hello,

when I try to set the “Shutdown Timeout” of a VM in SCALE to a value larger than 300 seconds, TrueNAS reports the error “[EINVAL] vm_create.shutdown_timeout: Should be between 5 and 300”.

Why is there a limitation of the shutdown timeout?
Is there any way to increase the shutdown timeout above the 300 seconds?
In my case I have a VM which takes quite a while to shutdown and, therefore, I want to enlarge the value above the 300 seconds. Is there any chance?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Thomas

It seems to be a limitation of TrueNAS SCALE and a Feature Request was created: https://forums.truenas.com/t/vm-shutdown-timeout-remove-the-limitation-for-max-300-seconds/15124

Is there any known workaround? I cannot believe that noone else had the problem before.
