I am trying to setup wake on Lan on my NAS, which has a MSI Z390 Ace in it.
The Motherboard has a Killer E2500 Ethernet chip, which sometimes has issues with wake on lan (not for everyone) and WoL is therefore disabled in the driver since 2013.
These issues are not present for everyone, so there is the kernel module alx-wol, which allows the user to enable WoL with the Atheros chipset.
Is there a good way to install the kernel module and make this happen?
I really don’t want to have to buy another NIC.
