X710 with passive DAC does not work (@Ubuntu it's working)

Ok, Its the old driver.

I’d install a new TrueNAS-SCALE 25.04-BETA.1 at identical hardware and this works out of the box.

Software and Firmware Versions working together:

  • TrueNAS-SKALA 25.04-BETA.1
  • i40e driver 6.12.9-production-truenas
  • X710 Firmware version 9.20
  • Hardware minisforum MS-01A i9-13900
  • passive DAC SFP cable from FS coded for intel NIC

Thanks for the idea with Fangtooth update. I’m using SFP with fibreo for next 2 month while waiting for Fangtooth release.
