Zfs2 Pool Failure

I think i know the answer and have done days of research but would like confirmation from a Boffin please. I know you guys swear by backups but I don’t have the room anywhere to do it.

8 disk zfs2 vdev. 3 disks have failed. I have a backup of the config but I can’t see the pool to import.

Tried everything, Looks like a lightning strike as my PC’s UPS wasn’t working. I have a ups but had the power cable in the passthrough not the supply+surge point.

I’m assuming there’s no way to resilver now.

10 years. Never thought it would happen to me.

Well… disk recovery services. If you can get any of the 3 disks online you should be able to recover the whole pool.

Some brands of NAS disks actually come with data recovery as a feature… for example Seagate Ironwolf. Of course, that’s assuming they’re in warranty.

They’re out of warranty. Might be time for pool reduction.
