Active Directory Join Fails in 25.10.0.1

Ok, so i just upgraded a TrueNAS Scale install 24.04 to 25.10.0.1 and am having an issue that I’ve been able to duplicate. In the 24.04 installation I have 2 NIC’s - one (main interface) on the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet and the other (an alternate interface for NFS connection to Proxmox) on 192.168.100.0/24 subnet. The 24.04 installation worked fine and was able to join to the active directory without issue with both interfaces connected.

Now, after upgrade the 25.10.0.1 install will NOT join the active directory and fails with the NOZONE message. If I remove the alternate interface completely the TrueNAS will join. But as soon as I add the alternate interface back the Active Directory connection faults!

I suspect the culprit is something in DNS but I can’t quite figure it out? Obviously, the changes from 24.04 to 25.10.0.1 regarding Active Directory joining is causing this issue as I’ve been able to duplicate the issue over and over again.

Any ideas?

Not that I know of..

Could you document the AD and DNS IP addresses.

Did you go through the recommended update path… it would be useful to know where the problem was introduced. Its also safer as we test each of the recommended update paths.
