Active Directory on Fangtooth Issue

I just upgraded two of my TrueNAS servers from 24.10.2 to 25.04.0. One of my servers, I ended up reinstalling from scratch due to a previous boot partition issue.

The issue I’m having now is, the one server that was installed from scratch is having a terrible time with Active Directory. Whereas, the other server is fine. I’m able to authenticate at first (domain services are healthy) and it pulls the users and groups, but after some time faults with varying errors. Leading me to believe the Keytab file isn’t being used.

I’ve tried deleting all Kerberos settings, Keytab, etc. and rejoining the Domain. I’ve verified ALL settings are identical between the two servers (i.e., Network, Domain, etc.).

Anyone else experiencing AD issues with 25.04.0?

I have the same issue. I can mess around with deleting the Kerberos Keytab and rejoining the AD, but then it faults again after a day or two.

Yeah, it’s weird. I never had any issues with <= 24.10.2. I’ve reinstalled the problematic Scale server and if/when it loses connection to AD (i.e., Reboot AD server), it will eventually fault. I have to (re)enable, then leave Domain and join again for it to stay. It’s a pain since this server hosts nfs for my Virtual infrastrucutre.
