After loading the config on the web GUI, truenas wont start - Need to recover the data

after loading the config on the web GUI, truenas wont start and I can’t recover the data from the drives.

Tried on mint and ubuntu and windows to import the pools and it worked, but cannot import or access the actually important drive, the photos one.

When doing a fresh install it autoimports but says it will delete the data if i do so.

Any ideas?

Start with a detailed listing of the hardware, OS version and what the pool layouts were. How and why did you get to this point? We can only go off what you post to the forum to try to diag.

wont start after loading the config, its stuck on ix-zfs.service/start running

Why were you loading the System Configuration in the GUI? Did your boot-pool die and you were reloading your OS, etc. You have to provide enough information so we can even begin to try to help.

Changing the drive where truenas is installed. For a smaller one as the one i was using is 512gb and wanted to use it for apps

Why are you not posting system information?

Wild guess is to put the 512GB drive back as the boot drive and try booting. Another option is to do a fresh install, don’t load the System Configuration and then diagnose your entire system from there.
