Best TrueNAS Scale setup for my usage

As a Power User on a scale of 1-10 I am at about 1.5
I have a 10 year old Synology NAS which may or may not last much longer. I have been putting off the switch over to a new NAS and TrueNAS Scale much to long. Mainly because I am having a hard time getting my head around ZFS.
I have 4 Linux computers sharing the old Nas, 1 is for home entertainment, videos and music, the other 3 are basically file storage and sharing. I backup the NAS to external HDD every day, I don’t think data loss is a great issue here.
What would be the best configuration for me.

There is way too little information here for anyone to be able to say what any suitable configuration might be much less a best configuration.

However, you might try reading Uncle Fester’s Basic TrueNAS Configuration Guide (which is outdated in parts and incomplete in others) but the planning section is reasonably comprehensive.

Thanks a lot. Just hope Lurch doesn’t scare me away.
Edit
There is a lot of work that went into that configuration guide, I’m printing it and going through it line by line. Thanks again.
