I am sorry, dan, I am not a member of your TrueNAS Hall of Fame and you must have a different forum page than I do. I see no link to any documentation for TrueNAS anywhere on the page. Besides, I have not yet updated (what you call upgraded) my TrueNAS and the version has not changed. This is a well-known issue that was discussed in the old forum (see https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/windows-share-asking-for-network-credentials.113110/ but the last reply was “The recurring network credentials prompt issue when accessing a Truenas server in a Windows network might be resolved by rejoining the domain. The quickest way to do this is to disjoin the server from the domain, then rejoin it. However, before attempting this, ensure that your DNS settings are correct and consider checking for any other underlying issues that could be causing the problem.” I do not know how to join or disjoin the server from the domain, nor what the server or the domain are, nor how to make sure my DNS settings are correct. Perhaps you Hall of Famers could take pity on us TrueNAS nerds and give us step-by-step instructions? Many thanks.
