Im sure im just doing something stupid, or its an easy fix,
I had set up a bridge network in truenas and given pihole its own ip on that bridge.
webui- 192.168 50.88
pihole- 192.168.50.8
this morning I upgraded my motherboard to allow me to add more pcie expansion. when I rebooted the system everything seemed ok, except I csnr access my web ui and services have not come back up
when I connect into a display I get
the web user interface is at:
http:// 192.168.50.8
http:// 192.168.50.88
https:// 192.168.50.8
https:// 192.168.50.88
my web interface is not accessible at any of these addresses.
When i look in my router I cant see any ip addressess assigned for truenas
It sounds like OP already has a display connected. But you’re right, I think, that it’s a matter of network configuration. Since there’s already a bridge interface, I think the way ahead would be to edit the bridge, remove the old physical interface, and add the new one.
after doing a lot of trouble shooting. i think i have discovered the issue. turns out the new motherboard has a Realtek RTL8125B which seems to be a complete lottery if it will work or not. truenas will not see the nic and therefore can’t get an ip address.
