Folks - I’m having the following problem since upgrading to TrueNAS-SCALE-24.10.0.2
When I try to change my time zone - I receive the following error:
[EINVAL] general_settings_update.timezone: Timezone not known. Please select a valid timezone.
What timezone are you trying to update to? What do you have the motherboard set to, UTC?
Thank You! The BIOS clock was different than the timezone specified in the TrueNAS Settings … once the BIOS clock was updated - saving / updating the Localization settings in TrueNAS began working again!

The BIOS clock is supposed to be set to the time in UTC/GMT.
You then adapt it with the time zone settings the localisation section in order to get the system to report the proper time for where you reside.
Invalid settings can cause certificate validation to fail which breaks all SSL connections (HTTPS and the like).
