Console blank Screen - completed boot though [LONG]

This is bit weird

I have my main TrueNAS box, it dropped one of 6 x 14TB RAID-Z2 drives. So I shutdown & reseated the cable (Sun evening)

Powered up OK then it started randomly locking up - as in blank screen power button held won’t shut off tried a load of stuff (Memory / HBA / NICs etc) no change locks up

at this point (Monday afternoon) i decide to move all the drives to my TESTBED system (primarily used for checking drives but does other stuff)

TB boots into truenas no issue, as screen is showing 1 - 10 menu except I’ve forgotten to plug one SSD in.

Shutdown & boot - then as the resolution changes it stops displaying anything. Screen hasn’t gone to sleep Green light not Amber, it completes boot I can access server & shares (which at this point I’m happy about) but the screen is blank

That’s what’s weird, it worked first time but not second

Maybe a bad connection with the monitor. It stays on but not the correct signal? I am guessing you have keyboard and mouse plugged in. Try hitting the enter key and see if anything shows on the console monitor. Otherwise check your connections?

It’s through a KVM and the screen led would go amber if there was no signal i.e. when it is powered off, switching to a unused port, let it go amber, switching back instantly goes green saying there is a signal

Plus there is the fact that it has already displayed the menu on the screen means that the system can do it - something is preventing it

You, most likely, have a partial connection. Connect the keyboard, mouse and monitor directly to the Testbed system or check all the connections for video. Partial connections can be enough to register a signal but not put up the correct images. Your KVM could also be a problem of the issue.
