Over heating… memory issues? Power issues?
No, that’s not what’s causing it. All my gear is well cooled, just the processor, which is up to about 80% because it analyzes the media.
For the memory I can put the 64GB back because in the end it doesn’t seem to come down to the fact that I have 4 RAM bars.
You almost certainly have faulty hardware somewhere.
Things that can cause unexpected reboots:
- Bad PSU
- Bad motherboard
- Bad CPU
- Bad RAM
- Bad boot drive
- In other words, pretty much every component.
We can safely assume that it has nothing to do with crashing “between 3 and 4 a.m.?”
Maybe Plex rescans your libraries around that time, which could have been interacting with a common underlying issue? This is why it seemed that the overnight time was an initial suspect?
Honestly, I don’t understand anything yesterday afternoon, it crashed when I added an episode of one of my series and now this morning, it crashed at around 2:45 am… it’s starting to piss me off that I’m the only one around me who’s had this fucking problem for X months.
I’m going to try to turn everything off (docker) and throw files on my Plex folder to see if anything happens, because I’m really starting to get saturated.
