Disks with exported pools vdev offline

Hello,

I am having an issue with my vdev being offline. It looks like my pool has been exported. It will not let me import the pool back. None of my drives have failed. All seem to be ok. I tried zpool import but it I get back “zsh: command not found: zpool”

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please post details on your current system. How are drives attached? Did anything happen lately with your system like power outages?

I believe there was a power outage.

My system is a dell poweredge 730xd
Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4
64gb mem
8 - 8 TiB drives raid z2 I believe
4 - 4 TiB drives raid z1
1 - 500 GiB boot drive
all drives are attached in the server caddies

Please run these in the Shell or console and paste the results back using preformatted text mode </> on toolbar or Ctrl+e. Each in their own window

This should show import status and drive info. Last three won’t all return results but will give your controller info. You just needed ‘sudo’ before.

sudo ZPOOL_SCRIPTS_AS_ROOT=1 zpool status -vLtsc lsblk, serial, smartx, smart

sudo zpool import

lsblk -bo NAME,LABEL,MAJ:MIN,TRAN,ROTA,ZONED,VENDOR,MODEL,SERIAL,PARTUUID,START,SIZE,PARTTYPENAME

sudo sas2flash -list
sudo sas3flash -list
sudo storcli show all

Your disk controller is a hardware RAID type, I think, and not recommended for use with TrueNAS / ZFS. Thanks for all the data. I am hoping the experienced users will see and post now

What’s all the noise about HBA’s, and why can’t I use a RAID controller?

OK. Thank you!

I finally got it to import with sudo zpool import -F

Thank you for SmallBarky!
