Docker jdownloader2 - jaymoulin on TrueNAS

Hi guys,

I`m a relative stranger to TrueNAS, but particularly to container in general.

I have a fair share of Linux (particularly Debian) experience but I`m a bit rusty.

I`m currently in the process of getting jdownloader2 ( jaymoulin ) installed as an “App” on my TrueNAS scale (I created this one using the BeLink ME Mini).

I registered an account with MyJdownloader and tested successfully with my iPhone controlling my Jdownloader2 setup on my MacBook.

So I went ahead, downloaded the Jdownloader2 app (App Version:
v2.1.2 Version: v1.0.6) and installed on TrueNAS. It asked me for some basic inputs (like the Device Name, my Username and Password) and after that it would let me deploy the container.

Even though I configured my router (FritzBox) to ignore the Rebind protection with the domains provided by jdownloader, the TrueNAS instances doesn`t show up in myjdownloader.

I changed the “Direct connection Port” settings to “Publish port on the host for external access” used port number “3129” and host ip “0.0.0.0” (IPv4) as well as “::” (IPv6).

All other settings I just left at default and didnt mess with any of it. But I still cant get it to work. Anything in particular I should look out for in the logsfiles or any idea that you guys have from the top of your head?

EDIT: I`m running on TrueNas SCALE 25.04.1

sigh After some further debugging and a complete (unnecessary one btw) reinstall of the app, I discovered, that apparently my password was to “secure”. I changed the password for MyJDownloader web service, tested again with desktop app and as soon as I updated the TrueNAS app with the new password, it just worked flawlessly…
