Hard drive Errors - not capable of SMART self-check

Truenas Scale - ElectricEel-24.10.1

Newbie - My NAS has been working fine for 6 months. 2 x 10tb in mirror. Recently I added 2 new 12tb in mirror which have been fine.
The entire NAS storage is at 60%
Today I have a critical error:
Device: /dev/sdd [SAT], not capable of SMART self-check.
One of the new drives is reporting 151 errors.
I notice it did a scrub - must have been automated as I didn’t initiate anything.
The drive is under warranty but is there anything I can do before sending it back - it is a hassle and slow process.
Thanks

I recommend you use the Drive Troubleshooting Flowcharts in my signature. They will help you diagnose the exact problem by asking questions, asking you to perform a command, answer the questions, repeat, and if it really is a hardware failure it will tell you so, if not a hardware failure and a ZFS problem, it may help you as well.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

If you have any questions, just ask. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here who know what they are doing.

If you find the flowcharts lacking, feel free to let me know. I tried to make them as simple as possible but I will take constructive criticism to improve them.
