Just want to say upfront that i’m in WAY over my head. I followed a youtube guide on setting this up years ago and haven’t had a issue till now. I’m running TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.4. I set up an SMB share years ago and everything was working great. For other reasons I reformatted my one laptops hard drive and then tried to connect it to my NAS and that’s where my issues started. I couldn’t remember the password or maybe the user name. So after clicking around in the TrueNAS dashboard I ended up deleting the user/share/whatever. I try to follow all the guides to redo the share but I get stuck on adding my main folder to the share. It says
“ACL type mismatch with child mountpoint at /mnt/Yggdrasil/ix-applications/docker/zfs/graph/73b66a36d9d25d69484906b415515eb149988112a617e3ee07bcf8155d28125b: Yggdrasil - NFSV4, Yggdrasil/ix-applications/docker/73b66a36d9d25d69484906b415515eb149988112a617e3ee07bcf8155d28125b - POSIX”
I can make new shares with new folder and get it to work with windows but it’s an empty folder. All my files are in that “Yggdrasil” folder. The folder I need to add to the share has a blue box next to it that says “ACL”. I need to remove ACL from that because I got other folders that don’t have ACL next to it and they share fine. But all my really important files are in that “Yggdrasil” folder. I’ve been banging my head against this for 10 hours now. I have family photos on it that I can’t replace. I’m begging anyone here to please tell me how to get that “Yggdrasil” back in a share I can see from a Windows PC.
