Help configuring a network bridge

I’m still new to this type of settings so sorry for any misunderstanding.
I have truenas core 13-U6 and I have 2 physical network interfaces, re0 and re1.
re1 is the default one which I use for normal uplink that is at 192.168.49.74/22, and it could be static or by dhcp, no problem on that side. Now, I’m not sure if by adding a “bridge” interface, I could make truenas ‘forward’ re0 to the router and use re0 like if it was kind of a network switch port and have normal lan access over that port. I tried following the guide: Setting Up a Network Bridge | TrueNAS Documentation Hub
But when I connect any device, it shows on the dashboard that there is gigabit uplink but the device is unable to get dhcp. I set up the bridge as DHCP and left re1 as static but nothing. Any suggestions are welcome (And because of the scenario adding a network switch isn’t and option just in case)

I don’t know if this video is helpful but Stux is on this forum.

Apparently that configuration is only viable for jails or VM, not for bridging 2 physical interfaces

If you’re trying to use your NAS as a 2-port switch, here’s the procedure:

Note that Realtek NICs are known to collapse under load, so your setting may not always work as hoped.
