Have you used the sasflash tutorial to determine if your HBA is running current firmware in IT mode? That is where I would start.
If the HBA is good re: firmware, the next thing to investigate is whether your drive might be using a SAS interface but the connector / HBA you’re using is SATA only.
I have already upgraded my firmware to p16 it mode
And my hdd is using sata interface
Also i am planning to add a total of 36 drives in my case each of 20tb
I contacted seagate customer service about this case; they say to get the hdd replaced; So lets wait for replacement drive to come and will update here
You got any electrical tape that you can use & try to see if drive is detected when 3.3v is taped off on sata power side? @LarsR might be onto something; it isn’t just shucked drives that don’t boot with 3.3v though.
