How to get usb4 10Gbe card to be recognized

Dell Precision 3260

TN 25.10.1
OS drive - Sata 256GB
VDEV - Mirror 4Tb nvme’s

I had a Intel x710 card in the x8 pci slot that worked to give me 20Gb/s using lacp, but want to use that slot to add an external hba in IT mode instead.

I have the Ubiquiti 10Gbe usb adapter that uses the Marvell AQC11 or AQC113C chipset, but TN doesn’t recognize it. Is there a way to add the driver to make it work with TN.

Thanks for any advice,
T

The 10G Ethernet Adapter requires a USB-C port that supports USB4, Thunderbolt 4, or Thunderbolt 3.
10G Adapter: Ensure your system loads the thunderbolt-net module. Most mainstream distributions support this out of the box.

Other than that, try forum search for AQC113 and see if anyone has it working.

After further googling, NAS Compares lists this adapter as only TB3 or 4 with no support to USB 3.2 gen2. Hence why it probably isn’t working with Truenas… Back to the drawing board. There is some info that some Precision 3260’s have an optional TB module but that will require more research.

Thanks SB!

Mind that TrueNAS officially does not support Thunderbolt.
