How to recover data from pool which can't be imported on Scale but on Linux

The “k3s” and other “Apps”-related datasets might not be as straight forward to copy, due to the likely granular permissions, ownerships, and ACLs.

Can you test the above steps, but with a standard “file storage” dataset?

Keep in mind that your user/UID in your Linux machine is likely to be different than the users and owners of files and folders on your TrueNAS system.

Does this mean you recovered everything?

yes, the only exception is K3S directory

That’s beyond my scope. I know not of the specifics of the “ix-applications” dataset and children.

Pretty much, that should be in the backup of the system config if he has that. Except for PVC storage, those can be mounted and transferred over with a small amount of work.
