JDownloader2 - how to configured direct download to SMB ( additional storage )

i am looking for some advise on the config off the app. There are 3 Storage Options config + download and a additional storage option. As i dont want jdownloader2 to use a own dataset or ixdataset but want it to directly download to SMB, how would i configure this via the App Settings?

on the JDownloader2 Downloads Storage choose hostpath, then select your SMB dataset. Nothing fancy
You don’t need additional storage until you decide to put your download in different locations directly from the app

i have a SMB share no SMB Dataset. So i really want to use the additional Storage Option over the Hostpath. Is that possible?

In TrueNAS an SMB share is always backed by a dataset (or maybe a directory inside a dataset), even if you only interact with it as a network share.
Otherwhise i really don’t understand your question

well, compared to jellyfin app where i can add a NAS share and get a mount path within the container without the need to externally mount the nas share on truenas and pass it through via a dataset/hostpath

edit:

as you can see i’ve mounted the smb share as additional storage within the container at /download

the defautl download path is aligned with the dataset ( ix ) just for quick test

So what i need is: to tell JDownloader to change the download folder to /download

ok found it. didnt think it trough. so once registered with myjdownloder website, you can then set your downloadfolder pointing to the mounted smb share.
