Linux VM on Truenas Core - Error

I’ve created at least 6 Vms with different options now and none of them worked. Its the same problem everytime. As if it cant continiue to boot? I also downloaded a new iso onto the server. I dont get whats wrong.

Thank you all for helping me. You wont believe what the problem was. So I tried to install Ubuntu 22.04, an older version. New 22.04 didnt help. I tried my luck with 24.04 and:

One final question: HOW is this possible? Why is 24.04 working and 22.04 not?

On bare metal, sometimes the problem is UEFI vs Legacy BIOS that prevents booting. I guess you can encounter the same on a VM.

Glad you got it working.

I always make a habit of first changing the device order BEFORE booting any VM for the first time. Change the NIC to be the first device and the CDROM to be the last. Otherwise you might have issues with networking once you remove the CDROM.

After installing a also go ahead and delete the CDROM device.
