Need help with version, Plex and replication

Hello,
I have the following version currently installed on my true nas server:

FreeBSD truenas.local 13.1-RELEASE-p9 FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE-p9 n245431-b8ec9bde091 TRUENAS amd64.

I have built a new server and intend to migrate all my files over to it including configuration of the Plex.

could you please tell me what version do I need to install on my new server without running into any issue and being able to replicate all my file from my old servers, and also install and configure plex on it headache free?
thanks

The only thing can give you headache Is the Plex re-configuration, but depends only on how you have setup It on your Nas.[1]
Considering that you are running an old TN version, you should probably use same version on new Nas, and then upgrade to 13.3 (or you can’t use jails) after have uploaded the config file.
With both server up and running, on the same network, a replication task for migrate data IMHO Is the better/fastest choice.

IMHO consider to upgrade on Scale now that you have 2 machine

  1. if you have stored metadata outside the jail via mount points, simply make a clean jail install with same mount; instead you should do the same after copy all data outside ↩︎
