I building today new Nas for replacement mine old Synology.
And its new for me to pace the software for Truenas, I have been reading the manual, and I have a question that I can’t find in the answer yet.
I’m going to install Truenas scale on a 1 TB SDD, And have two HDD for mine content
Will truenas using the entire 1TB SSD?
I prefer to place it an a part off it and use the rest for the Apps …
Maybe a stupid question, but I’m curious

Yes.
This is not supported. TrueNAS, and FreeNAS before it, has always required a dedicated boot device.

Thats i a Pity, Is because I have this SSD and I was thinking for the better performance if its al on the SSD and then my content,( Music, Movies) , will be on the HDD .

It would be. Which is why the recommendation is to put TrueNAS itself on a small-ish device (128 GB SSDs would be overkill, but they’re cheap and still easy to find), and a separate SSD pool for your apps.
