I installed nextcloud, left every storage configuration at “dataset created automatically by the system”.
I configured it and made it available outside of my network using Cloudflare tunnels. Everything works fine. I have all of my important files in TrueNAS shared via SMB, which should remain as it is. I upload, edit and delete files via SMB inside of my network.
Question:
What is the best method for giving nextcloud access to all of my files in truenas? I saw on other posts, that you could setup an SMB share on nextclouds external storage section.
Or option 2: Just add in the nextcloud installation under “additional storage” the path of the folders i want to share. Then use “local” as external storage in nextcloud.
Are there any other possible methods?
What would be the safest and quickest way to give nextcloud access to all of my files?
I also want to be able to access the files outside of my network using Cloudflare tunnels, so it should be safe but also quick in transfer speeds. And i also need to write, read, update and delete files via my SMB shares.
