No Disk Temperatures or SMART Data Visible — TrueNAS 25.04

Hi everyone,

I’m running TrueNAS 25.04, and I noticed that no disk temperatures, SMART data, or any other disk-related metrics are being reported back to the system. Neither the GUI nor smartctl outputs show meaningful data.

  • Drives are detected and working fine for storage operations
  • But no temperature, SMART status, or health data is available
  • Running on standard hardware, no HBA passthrough or unusual setup

Is this a known issue with 25.04, or could this be a driver/backend config problem on my end?

Would appreciate any hints on how to troubleshoot this — or if there’s a setting I missed.

Last Scrub shows from 2024 and cancelled. Maybe run a manual or check schedule.

Mine looks the same. Reporting - Disk screen only has I/O stats, no others to choose. I think that is the way it is. You have to install the Netdata app if you want that, like in Electric Eel, 24.10?

i am in the same boat as OP, but i am using custom scripts to log everything to InfluxDB.

i have not installed Netdata, but you are saying if i do, it adds more details to the reporting tab?

No it won’t add more data to the reporting tab
