Nvidia Driver not installing

Hi All, Newbie here. I’ve been playing around with TrueNAS over the last month.

My config is:

Amd ryzen 3 1300x

8gb ram

Running 25.10.1 goldeneye

Nvidia 1070

The server kept crashing and looking at the logs it indicated a problem with the GPU. Checked apps configuration and confirmed the install nvidia driver was checked.

Ran Nvidia-smi in the shell and its not picking up the gpu.

Checked online and came across a post to unset the pool and then choose it. Did that - no change.

Checked secure boot in bios was disabled based on another post.

Tried rebooting and nvidia-smi is still not picking up the gpu.

So im stuck, how do I install Nvidia drivers?

Your 1070 is no longer supported by the driver 25.10 uses. A community member created a workaround to install the old driver

Right well that would do it.

Thanks for the info, thanks for the link. Are you aware of any step by step tutorial?

I did see instructions in the link you provided, im assuming I can paste those instructions into the truenas shell? But how/where do I save the older driver raw file?

I would ask those questions in that thread or work through the Github page
