I’m using TrueNAS Scale and have created a periodic SMART test I can’t delete. Just says All Disks Short with nothing to the right. No garbage can, no edit icon. I’ll try to add a picture . I also can’t add new periodic SMART tests. The Add button doesn’t do anything. This all started when I was trying to add a SMART test with a custom time. Thx, Chris
You are not in the correct location in the GUI. Go to the Disks Data Protection menu where you created the SMART tests to run.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding your post but I am under the Data Protection tab. Larger pic attached. Thx, Chris
That is the correct location. What version of SCALE are your running?
There should be a delete button on the right sode of the All Disks row in your picture, strange.
A possible alternative way is to click the arrow symbol just to the right of the “Periodic S.M.A.R.T. Tests” header. That should take you to another page that should have have a three dot menu with “Delete” as an option.
If that also doesn’t work, try force reloading the page.
Version is Dragonfish-24.04.2.5. When I click the arrow to expand the SMART Tests widget I get what you see in the screen. There are two blue circles spinning around that the screenshot didn’t capture, like something is going on in the background. From this page I can access
the “Add” dialogue box but the newly created test is not saved when I hit save. Thx
Did you try in a different browser?
Thanks I went ahead and tried a different browser - same result.
I’m not sure what I did to get myself into this but this doesn’t seem to be on the list of “known stupid stuff a person can do.”
So what are the implications for uploading a previous config file? I made a backup the morning before I got myself into this. I did NOT export the Password Secret Seed, which I’m a little worried about. But this setup is new and, so far, pretty simple. One pool with 2 disks and an extra SSD for apps but no apps are on it yet. The only thing I can think of that requires a password is the password to access the GUI. Am I missing anything? Thx
Problem is solved. I uploaded a recently saved config file and that corrected it.
