Photoprism database locked

I installed Photoprism from the app store in truenas scale.

It runs OK, but I have not been able to make a cron job to auto index on a schedule.

When I do run a manual command to index, it seems to work fine for a while, then starts to pop up all these “database is locked” errors.

I read that this is due to the hard drive not being able to keep up with the update, especially with sql as DB.

My questions:

  1. Is there a way to install photoprism NOT using the app store on truenas scale? e.g. some kind of stand alone install on truenas scale?
  2. If I already have photoprism installed via app store on truenas scale, is there a way to migrate from sql to mariadb, which is said to solve these db lock issues?
