New here, and looking for some help. I would like to create a HTTPS connection, but the truenas certificate is not ‘recognised’ by my browser (Edge in W11). Reading the manuals it must be possible to create a CA (certificate authority) and from there a certificate. I do not have the widget of CA in my dashboard ?
Is there another instruction or proces on how to create a https connection. Using the truenas stad certificate still gives a ‘not secure’ label in the browser.
You have a HTTPS connection; the reason it shows as “not secure” is because it’s a self-signed certificate. If the CA functionality were still there and you’d followed the earlier guides, you’d have ended in the same place: with an untrusted certificate and a browser warning. The “easy button” to get a trusted cert is to sign up with TrueNAS Connect. The less-easy way, though one that doesn’t tie you to an iX cloud service, is to register some domain name with Cloudflare, and use the built-in functionality in TrueNAS to get a trusted cert from there.
