RAID HBA with TrueNAS

Hi, i got couple chassis here of 24 Bays supermicro with LSI00415 LSI 9361-4I 12GB/S SAS RAID Card. TrueNAS see my 24 drive as only one big drive, so i think Raid card is not controlable with TrueNas, i search everywhere to find how enter in Raid card, BIOS, command line etc… Not able to see my raid controler. Now i have 1 drive failing and the raid card is starting beeping just after Bios. I think i need to present the 24 drives in JBOD in TrueNas ? Is anybody already work with this card and know how to enter in their config ?

That card cannot be flashed to IT mode. You will need a proper HBA rather than a RAID card. Any data will need to be moved off of the hardware RAID and back after moving to an HBA.

Thanks for the info, i was thinking every Raid Card can be used in JBOD mode. So what card can i check for a 24 bays supermicro ? Thanks

“JBOD mode” is not the same thing as a HBA. Edit: you also weren’t using JBOD mode if the drives appeared to TrueNAS as a single drive–you’d created an array on the controller.
