I really thought I got skills regarding zfs replication, this was the first mistake
Per accident I realized that my periodic replication tasks between two up2date core servers seem to not work properly, just the initial replication works but I do not receive an error regarding the other ones, everything looks good. ;-(
I created the whole task form scratch, switched from push to pull but the behavior stays, no newly created files and or folders get replicated or are visible on the destination side ?
I also checked the snapshot on the source side, which includes the change…the same snapshot does also exist on the dest side but does not include the change/new files or folders, don’t get it.
Hope that somebody could point me to the right spot to investigate it further.
I wish it would be that easy, I tried that, also push and pull replication with many different settings, in all cases just the initial replication was succesfull, all further replication did not add or remove new or deleted files at the destination, I was able to reproduce by adding files and or folder on the source side using hourly snaps and hourly replication…bonus info I do not get an error instead he said replication success. It may has something to do with the fact that the source system is core and the dest system was core (clean installed/updated to scale)…don’t get it.
On a 100% clean installed scale system as the destination for the replication it works normal from the same source core system…
